PRAYER POINT FROM SUNDAY

In Genesis 46:28-47:12, Jacob and Joseph reunite and Jacob's family settles in the land of Egypt at Goshen. Consider these thoughts for prayer:



  • How can the value you place on family relationships have spiritual impact on your family?
  • Reflect on the similarities on Joseph being an advocate for his family to receive such blessing and Jesus being the Great Advocate for His people to receive salvation blessing (see 1 John 2:1-2).
  • They settled in Goshen, away from mainstream Egyptian life. Jacob described his life as a "sojourning." Read 1 Peter 1-2. Are you living a holy life as a distinct sojourner in this world that's headed to an eternal home? How and why do you struggle living distinct from the world? 
  • Jacob wasn't deterred from blessing Pharaoh. What causes you to hold back from being a spiritual blessing to the world (maybe specifically to those of great worldly power and wealth)?

Our church involvement in the Kingdom:
 
 1. That we would pray prayers that enlarge the Kingdom, make relationships with the intention of making disciples, have conversations that can change lives, and be available to adjust our schedule to do life with each other. 

 2. For God to show us how He wants us to use the resources that Beulah already has (buildings & land) for His purpose and glory.

PHYSICAL NEEDS

Scott Anderon's mother (03/05/26) has been moved to a nursing home facility.


Ty McAllister (03/05/26) pray for him & his family during this time. 


Harry Gray, Melanie Rease's brother (03/04/26) has a tumor on his bladder.  He is scheduled to see a specialist on April 29.


Tony Coleman's neighbors, Alonzo & Lori Tornabene (03/03/26) Alonzo is having health issues & Lori's son-in-law has an enlarged heart and liver.


Olin Poe (03/11/26) is still in the hospital. Dealing with heart, liver & kidney issues.


Aaron Dunn, Leann Northcutt’s relative (02/26/26) has some personal health issues.

 

Bill Stevens' brother-in-law, Read Gigniallett  (03/12/26) had a brain tumor removed on Monday, 2/23.  Surgery went well.  He has an appt. on Tuesday, March 17, at Duke to schedule chemo/radiation treatments.


Donna Brown Holland, friend of Lisa Rose (02/25/26) has COPD and emphysema. She is 61 years old & in the hospital in Sumter.


Pam Pearson, friend of Blake Wells (03/11/26) is dealing with some health issues.  She is having surgery on Wednesday, March 11.

 

Jonathan McCarthy, Debbie Wells' cousin (02/17/26) has Stage 4 Liver & Pancreatic Cancer.


Donna Vaughn, Ken Addison's Mom (02/25/26) is still in rehab. trying to get her strength back.  Gets exhausted easily.  Hope to leave NHC by March 11.


Devuntae Addison's Step Grandfather (03/12/26) is off of the ventilator.  He is making some progress with speaking.  He is off dialysis.


Chloe Mullins' Dad (02/26/26) has Stage 4 colon cancer. He has started chemo treatments. Pray for peace and comfort.


Helen Bradley's Sister, Bobbie Sue (03/11/26) is in remission. She is scheduled to go back to the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota this month.


Mary Walker's husband, Wilson (03/04/26) has congestive heart failure.  He has an appt. with dr. on Thursday, 3/5.


Diane Harwell (03/11/26) fell a couple of weeks ago and is still having pain from the fall.  Still dealing with neck pain & migraines.  She is supposed to have an ablation as soon as she can get an appt. scheduled.


Bob Harwell (03/11/26) is continuing to use cream for the skin cancer on his face to prevent surgery.  He is having trouble walking due to the hip pain.
