UPDATE FROM PASTOR CAMERON
I am excited to share with you our Re-Gathering Plan and the process in place for opening our building to our church family and to our community. As you know, our Church Advisory Team and our Pastoral Staff have been meeting and working diligently on a plan to Re-Gather our church family safely back on our campus. I appreciate so very much the seriousness that this group has demonstrated to the formulation of this plan. So, let me thank them personally, and on your behalf, for their prayerful diligence in serving this body so well.
So, here is our plan right now. We will continue to live-stream services through the month of May. I know that’s not good news, but there is some good news, and it is the news that you have been waiting on. On Sunday, June 7, we will begin the process of Re-Gathering by having a live, in-person worship service in our building. This will begin Phase One of the plan. On June 7, we will corporately meet for worship only. We will continue to Live-Stream the service for those that are not yet ready to come back and for those that are most vulnerable to this virus. There will be no childcare or nursery provided during the phase one time period, and we will designate seats in our sanctuary to ensure that we are providing safe distancing. We will also provide overflow seating in the Fellowship Hall if necessary.
Sunday School Classes and Small Groups will continue to meet, for the time being, as you have been the past several weeks. I realize that this is not ideal, but we hope that in the weeks following June 7, we will be able to accommodate these groups meeting throughout the week in designated areas of our building.
We have also formed a Safety Team made up mostly of our medical professionals, to ensure that we do all that we can to keep our facility as clean and as safe as we can make it – before you arrive, while you are here, and after you leave. This team is advising us even now on how to prepare our building for your anticipated arrival.
We will provide to you an overview document of our Three Phase Re-Gathering Plan which will give more information on what each phase will look like. We will send this out to you in a letter, by email, and will make it available on our website.
Also, be on the look out for some possible outside, evening prayer/praise services in the coming weeks.
If you have questions or concerns pertaining to our Re-Gathering Plan, please do not hesitate to reach out to me personally. debrewcameron@msn.com
I am so looking forward to finally being able to physically worship together again. My heart yearns to see your faces and to hear your voices. I am so honored to be your pastor and I am so blessed to be a part of the Beulah family. I love you all and look forward to seeing you soon!
God Bless You!

March 17, 2020 - UPDATE
In the ever-changing circumstances of the effects of the COVID-19 virus on our community and our nation, we are making the following decisions as we try to navigate through these unpredictable times. With information communicated by our President, our Governor, the CDC and other health professionals, we will be conducting the business of our church differently for the next couple of weeks.
We are suspending our regular schedule through the month of March. This includes Sunday morning worship service, Sunday School, Sunday afternoon and evening activities, Small Groups, Choir rehearsal, Wednesday evening activities, and any other weekday meetings or gatherings.
We will provide a Sunday morning worship service “Online” via our Facebook page on Sunday, March 22 and March 29 starting at 10:30. The sermon will also be available following the livestream on our website. With this service, we will be providing further discussion questions so that you can continue your study of God’s word together. We encourage you to use this opportunity to worship with your family.
Our church office will continue to be open as normal – Monday – Thursday 8:30am – 4:30pm. You can contact us at 803-776-2188 or email: beulah_baptist@msn.com. We are here to serve you in any way that we can. You can call Pastor Cameron (803) 920-4032 or Pastor Ken (803) 917-6625 should you need us after office hours.
Please continue to give financially. As we move into these next several weeks, we will continue to support our ministries, our missionaries, and the work that is being done through Beulah to our community for the sake and the purpose of Kingdom growth. There are three ways you can give. You can give online from our webpage, you can mail in your offering to 9487 Garners Ferry Road, Hopkins, SC 29061, or you can bring it by the office during office hours. Come to back door and ring the bell.
We will continue to communicate to you through Email, Facebook, Instagram, and our Website. Be sure that we have your email address and also follow our pages on social media so that you receive any updates. I also ask that you help spread information to anyone that you know in our congregation that may not use these platforms. We will do our best to inform everyone, but please do your part in making sure everyone is informed.
If you need help with anything or you know someone who needs help during these weeks, please do not hesitate to ask. We have volunteers willing to go buy groceries, pick up medications, etc.
Let me assure you of this – GOD IS STILL ON THE THRONE! He is sovereign over everything, including these unsteady times that we are facing.
Psalm 46:10 “Be still and know that I am God…”
Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths.”
What can we do?
PRAY - “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7
Right now, God’s people need to be praying. Pray for your leaders who make tough decisions. Pray for those who have gotten sick. Pray for those who are working for a cure. Pray for those who are far away from friends and family because of this time. Pray for first responders who every day risk their lives. Pray for families who will financially struggle as a result of this. Pray for people who are afraid. Pray that the lost would be saved and that the saints would grow in faith. Pray that in all things God would be glorified. Pray that Christians will be ministers of God’s grace and truth, showing His love and sharing His gospel hope.
CONTINUE TO BE THE CHURCH
“In your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect.” 1 Peter 3:15
I do not know what all is going to happen as a result of COVID-19 but I do know this, it cannot take my hope away as long as my hope is found in Christ and Christ alone. Always remember if Jesus is your hope, your hope will last for eternity.
