Samaritan Ministries

Beulah Baptist Church reaches out to those who have come under consequences that have left them in desperate need of Jesus. In Matthew 25:40. Jesus said, "I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me." This ministry reaches out to "the least of these."

To get involved with any of these local outreach programs, please contact Pastor Michael Smathers at (803) 629-0515 or email him at PastorSmathers@aol.com.

Department of Juvenile Justice Outreach

Beulah Baptist has a team of volunteers who participate in the worship services within the Department of Juvenile Justice, along with working as mentors to encourage the young people and help them with their homework as mentors. Each Christmas Eve we deliver them special Christmas packets, made up by local Baptist churches.

Homeless to Homes Ministry

Our "Homeless to Homes" ministry team works to help the homeless in Columbia to take the next step in becoming self sufficient by assisting them with life skills, financial counseling, job training, finding a place to live, and other life changing services. We assist the homeless in meaningful, spiritual ways that have purpose and helps them to become respected citizens in our community.

Faith Riders motorcycle ministry

Each year the Faith Riders of Beulah Baptist Church, a motorcycle-based ministry, goes to Camp Kemo (a week-long camp for children with cancer) and Camp Wonderful Hands (a three-day camp for deaf children) and spend time with them giving them motorcycle rides and playing games. This is a ministry that will touch your heart.

We also participate in assorted charity work and fund raisers, such as the annual Federation of the Blind Food Run and the Toys for Tots run, sponsored by the Marine Corps.

This motorcyclist ministry is endorsed and supported by the S.C. Baptist Convention and is the fastest-growing motorcyclist ministry in the Southeast, with more than 70 chapters based in local churches.
